Budapest - City ParkThe City Park is the most important in Budapest and the main place where its inhabitants relax and enjoy themselves.

On weekends it is very common to see families with children in this park, which is also called Városliget Park.

It was originally a hunting ground for the nobility that in the 18th and 19th centuries was transformed into the beautiful park that we can enjoy today.

It is also considered to be one of the first public parks in history.

Vajdahunyad Castle, which is the main monument in the park, was built of wood for the 1896 Exposition but was later rebuilt in stone.
