If you want to know what to see in Córdoba in three days, here we are going to offer you a proposal for a tour of the city that will take you through its most important corners and essential places, including, of course, the Mosque, the main monument.
Everything in Córdoba is quite close and you won’t have to waste time traveling, so you can spend the first two days getting to know the city and the third day going on an excursion to one of the beautiful places that the province of Córdoba has to offer.

What to see in Cordoba in three days
First day in Cordoba
The first of our 3 days in the city is based on our Cordoba in a day tour, in which you will be able to obtain much more complete information about what you can visit on this day.
We will begin the visit to Córdoba next to the Roman Bridge, one of the essential places to visit in Córdoba in 3 days, and where the Torre de Calahorra is located.
There is the Roger Garaudy Museum, where we can learn about the history of the 3 cultures that lived in the city: the Muslim, the Jewish and the Christian.
We can cross the Roman Bridge admiring the Mosque in the background, our next visit and the best thing to see in Córdoba in three days. Before arriving, we will leave aside the Episcopal Palace, which was built on an old Visigothic palace and is worth a visit.
The Mosque-Cathedral of Córdoba was built between the 8th and 18th centuries. This difference of centuries means that there is a great mixture of architectural styles that make it the best place to visit in Córdoba. In its beginnings it was the main place of worship for the Muslims, later for the Visigoths and finally it was converted to a Cathedral for the Christians.
In the Mosque of Córdoba we can distinguish two very different areas. On one side the patio and on the other the prayer room. Inside, in addition to the part dedicated to the Cathedral, you have to get lost in the impressive forest of 365 bicolor arches and 1,300 columns, in one of the most iconic images of the monument. The Patio de los Naranjos is also a must.
After the visit we must go to the nearby Alcázar de los Reyes Cristianos, another of the places to see in Córdoba in 3 days. This complex was built in the 13th century although it has had later extensions. Initially, the Caliphate Palace was located in this place, so in the enclosure we can find Muslim, Visigothic, Christian and even Roman remains.
Do not miss the Royal Stables, located next to it, before heading to the Plaza del Cardenal Salazar, where we can find the Chapel of San Bartolomé, a Mudejar-style building whose interior we can highlight with its tile baseboards and plasterwork to which we will arrive after crossing its spectacular main entrance.
Another of the essential points to visit in Córdoba is the Calleja de las Flores, our next destination and which represents one of the most charming streets in the city through which we must walk enjoying its facades and the flowerpots that decorate them. Nearby is the Calleja del Pañuelo, another very charming place.
From there we will begin to walk to some of the most beautiful squares in Córdoba. One of them is the Plaza del Porto, where we can visit the Julio Romero de Torres Museum or the Museum of Fine Arts, before heading to the Plaza de la Corredera, one of the most famous in the city.
The Plaza de la Corredera dates back to the 17th century, built on the site of a Roman amphitheater and used for centuries with different uses as a bullring or place of executions. Today we can enjoy its arcades and its bars and restaurants.
To end the day we will go to the Roman Temple, from the 1st century, which was part of the Provincial Forum.
What to see the second day in Cordoba
We have already visited the most important thing to see in Córdoba on the first day, but there are still many other interesting places that you cannot miss.
To start the tour of this second day we can go to the Plaza de las Tendillas, located next to the Roman Temple that we visited the day before. From there we will begin to stroll towards the most modern streets to visit in Córdoba in 3 days but also with a lot of charm.
The Plaza de los Capuchinos is the next destination. This beautiful square stands out for its cobblestone floor, its white walls and the beautiful cross that we find in the center of this small corner of Córdoba where the Cristo de los Faroles, highly venerated in the city, is also found.
Nearby is the Palacio de la Merced, current headquarters of the Córdoba Provincial Council and well worth a visit thanks to its church and the interesting exhibitions that are usually held. The Malmuerta Tower is also in this area.
One of the best monuments to visit in Córdoba in 3 days is the Palacio de Viana, located in this area of the city. It stands out for its impressive halls but above all, for its 12 Cordoban patios, which make it one of the most visited places in the city and one of its symbols.
The tour of the city can end in another of the most charming neighborhoods in Córdoba, the Jewish quarter. In it we can find numerous flamenco tablaos, which you must visit if you like this type of show and also the Synagogue, another very interesting place. It is quite small but it has a great charm and in it you will be able to learn more about the life of the Jews in the city.
The walk through Córdoba on this second day will have ended but there is still another very interesting place that we can visit and for this we will make an excursion to a nearby monument. We refer to Medina Azahara, about 10 km from the city and where we can get on an organized excursion, by public transport or in our own car.
Medina Azahara is almost an essential visit in Córdoba, and it is the largest archaeological complex in Spain. It was an ancient palatine city built by Abderramán III, the famous caliph, in honor of his favourite, called Azahara. There we can visit the ruins of what was a center of luxury and power and get an idea of its 10th-century sumptuousness.
The day can end by returning to the center of Córdoba and enjoying its illuminated monuments, such as the Mosque-Cathedral.
What to visit in Córdoba on the third day
With the visits made the previous two days, you will already know the main places to see in Córdoba, but we still have a third day and you will want to take advantage of it, so we are going to give you advice about what you can do on this last day.
Among the places to which we can make an excursion in the province of Córdoba, which are innumerable, we can highlight the following.
Lucena, Baena and Goat. These are 3 incredible towns that are very close to each other to the south of Córdoba, so you can visit them in a single day and return to the capital of Córdoba. The best thing you can do in Lucena is walk through its Jewish quarter and see all its palaces, churches.
Baena is another of the jewels that we can visit in the province of Córdoba, thanks to its history and the impressive Archaeological Museum that we can visit in this town. For its part, Cabra stands out for its castle, its churches and its walls.
Zuheros and Priego de Córdoba. These two towns are also located south of the capital, very close to the previous ones, but we separate them because they have a special charm that makes it worth stopping at them and you will enjoy them in the best way.
Zuheros stands out for its white houses as well as the Cueva de los Murciélagos, a spectacular visit. On the other hand, Priego de Córdoba is possibly the best visit you can make from the capital. It is known as the City of Water, due to the number of springs around it, and it is considered the jewel of Cordoban baroque thanks to the monuments that can be found in it.
