Valencia is a very large city but its main points of interest are concentrated in two places, the Old Town and the area of ​​the City of Arts and Sciences. For this reason, we are going to focus each day on these two areas.

What to see in Valencia in 2 days

First day in Valencia

We are going to dedicate the first of our days in Valencia to the Old Town, where most of the monuments to visit in Valencia in two days are concentrated.

The Estación del Norte is a good starting point for this visit. The spectacular modernist station of Valencia is a place that you should not miss and that you should also enter to admire its hall where the ticket offices are located. Next to the railway station is the Plaza de Toros, another great point of interest.

From here we can walk along the street that is just in front of the station to reach the Plaza del Ayuntamiento, one of the main points of the city, where, in addition to the City Hall itself, we can admire beautiful buildings such as the Post Office.

From there we can take the road to the Plaza del Mercado, where there is another modernist jewel, the Central Market and of course, the Lonja de la Seda, one of the jewels of Valencia, which is also a World Heritage Site. You should not miss the opportunity to visit its interior and surprise yourself.

On your way you will find the Institute of Modern Art of Valencia or the Museum of Prehistory, which we recommend visiting if you have enough time. The day can end again in the surroundings of the Plaza de la Reina, enjoying its atmosphere and the famous Valencian cuisine.

What to visit on the second day in Valencia

After the visit to the most historic area of ​​the city the previous day, this second day we are going to move to another much more modern area, with very interesting places and the best things to see in Valencia in two days.

The City of Arts and Sciences is the destination of our second and last day. And there you will spend practically the whole day because the activities to be carried out in this complex are very varied and so complete, that you could even dedicate two full days to the place.

The Príncipe Felipe Science Museum is one of its attractions. The beautiful whale-shaped building, which you can see surrounded by water, houses one of the world’s leading science museums, paying special attention to the human body but also to all sciences, from physics to astronomy. Its temporary exhibitions and the section dedicated to the Spanish Nobel Prize winners are also very interesting.

Another attraction is the L’Hemisfèric, located next to the museum and where films are shown in IMAX format. It is shaped like an eye and also functions as a planetarium.

From there we can walk to the Oceanogràfic, the largest aquarium in Europe. A theme park dedicated to the marine world, with various shows and huge aquariums where we can find countless species. We can also observe birds and other animals. A good place to spend the day.

In addition to these 3 corners of the City of Arts and Sciences, we can also admire the rest of the buildings such as the Reina Sofía Palace of Arts, the Ágora and even the Puente de l’Assut de l’Or.

After visiting the City of Arts and Sciences we can go to the beach area and enjoy the sea breeze and the atmosphere that is breathed in the Cabanyal Beach and the famous Malvarrosa Beach.
