The best beaches to visit in Cadiz
Bologna beach
Bolonia Beach is the most famous in Cádiz and probably the best you can visit. It is located near Tarifa, in the Parque Natural de Estrecho and its beauty is something that will captivate you if you decide to visit it.
The dune of Playa de Bolonia is about 30 meters high. It is a wild place with numerous nearby restaurants where you can enjoy Cadiz gastronomy after admiring this spectacular beach.
The views from the top of its dune are great and it is also a perfect beach for surf lovers. Nearby is the Archaeological complex of Baelo Claudia, some very interesting Roman ruins.
Barrosa Beach
Another of the beautiful beaches to see in Cádiz is Playa de la Barrosa, located in the town of Chiclana de la Frontera and therefore, an urban beach with all services.
Playa de la Barrosa is about 8 km long and stands out for its white and fine sand, being one of the best known and most popular beaches for tourists who come to the province of Cádiz.
It is located in one of the most touristic areas of the province with the nearby urbanizations of Loma de Sancti Petri and Novo Sancti Petri, with some of the best hotels in Chiclana and many entertainment venues and shopping centers.
Zahara Beach
Speaking of Cádiz, the beautiful Playa de Zahara located between Cabo de Plata and the town of Zahara de los Atunes may come to mind, where you can also enjoy other beautiful beaches.
Zahara de los Atunes Beach is one of the most beautiful in Spain and one of its great charms is to enjoy an enviable sunset, so in the late afternoon you can find it full of people enjoying the moment.
It is 1,600 meters long and also has all kinds of services. One of the best beaches in Cádiz.
Canos de Meca Beach
With less influx than the previous beaches, much more famous, we have Caños de Meca Beach, famous for its hippie atmosphere and the tremendous views that we can enjoy from it.
It is a beach away from the most touristic areas of Cádiz, so we will find much fewer people than in other more touristic beaches and also several places where nudism can be practiced. It stands out for its crystal clear water and its fine sand.
It is a beach surrounded by a wonderful natural environment and located next to the Breña Cliffs. It is also a perfect beach for surf lovers.
Caleta Beach
We leave for the end the urban beach par excellence, the beach of Cádiz. This is La Caleta, located in the historic center of the city of Cádiz. It is the smallest beach in the city but possibly the most charming due to its location.
It is flanked by the castles of San Sebastián and Santa Catalina and is one of the most emblematic places in the city a few meters from the Gran Teatro Falla or the Torre de Tavira. And not too far from the Cadiz Cathedral or the Plaza de las Flores.
Without a doubt, a beach to enjoy the city.
