Parque Europa, touring the continent without leaving Spain
Parque Europa is located in the town of Torrejón de Ardoz, just over 20 km from the center of Madrid and not far from the airport.
The town is close to Alcalá de Henares, a World Heritage city, which is also worth a visit.
The Park is dedicated to Europe and contains various monuments, replicas of some of the most representative monuments of European countries, which constitute the great attraction of this park, which was inaugurated in 2010.
The Europa Park replicas
The most interesting thing about the park are the replicas of the most representative monuments of the countries of Europe, as well as some of Spain.
In addition, there is also a square with all the flags of Europe in his honor, different pavilions and viewpoints. The list of monuments that we can see in this park are the following:
- Eiffel Tower (France).
- Puerta de Alcalá, Plaza Mayor and Puerta del Sol (Spain).
- Brandenburg Gate (Germany).
- Tower Bridge (UK).
- The Little Mermaid (Denmark).
- Viking ship (Norway).
- Mills (Holland).
- Michelangelo’s David and Trevi Fountain (Italy).
- Manneken Pis and Atomium (Belgium).
- Greek Theater and The Three Graces (Greece).
- Belem Tower (Portugal).
In addition to these replicas, the park also has a lake with a jetty and children’s areas, as well as the possibility of practicing multi-adventure sports, renting quads to move around the park and lots of fun for the little ones.
How to get to Europa Park
The best way to get to. Parque Europa is by car. To do this, take the A-2 and take exit 18 towards Torrejón de Ardoz.
Once in the city you just have to follow the information that appears throughout the city to get to the park.
If you don’t have a car you can go by public transport as we explain later, but if you go from the center of Madrid it will take a long time to get there.
It must be said that most of the replicas are very well made and from a distance they can even be confused with the original, but there are others, such as the Eiffel Tower, that have nothing to do with reality. Without a doubt, it is a good place to spend the afternoon and also to enjoy with children.
